Dead Alive (or Braindead as it's known internationally) is Peter Jackson's gore fest horror comedy. Yep, before Lord of the Rings and King Kong, Peter Jackson was making low budget gore fests like this one. It's a completely ridiculous and over the top slapstick zombie flick. Lionel is just a loving son who wants a normal life. Unfortunately, when his mom is bitten by a Sumatran Rat Monkey, he no longer gets the chance for the normal life. He ends up as a zombie baby sitter while trying to keep his mom and all the townsfolk she infects a secret. There really are way too many scenes that are just absolutely hilarious. The final confrontation with the lawn mower will have you laughing for days while squirming in your seat.
